We remove the old insulation, then cover everything we don't want sprayed with plastic and tape, then we spray our first layer of foam. Next, we attach the hardware cloth and spray it again.
The hardware clothe is lapped such that the mice cannot come in from the bottom, top or sides. And if somehow they do, they are limited to runs of about 4 feet horizontal.
Note the slight yellow difference in the material in the picture to the left. It stays that color only for 15-30 seconds as the material chemically reacts.
This farrowing house had 60 x 40 addition installed, we installed the Mouse Guard on it, then coated it with AcroLynkG.
First Coat of Foam.
Second Coat of foam after Mouse Guard barrier installed.
After AcroLynkG installed.
...........when it comes to sealing ANYTHING, there is no better product than high density foam.
