Pole Barns/Horse Barns/Equipment Sheds We know that every structure we insulate is unique. We have different methods for insulating a horse barn versus an equipment shed or a hog containment facility. Each has it's own set of parameters that the building must function within. For example the pictures below. The first three are of an older stable. We insulated the ceiling, but not the sidewalls. This is because the goal for a stable is to keep moisture and condensation down first, especially from the ceiling, then add thermal and draft protection as needed to reduce heat bills. For a really good explanation of this, CLICK HERE. The information comes from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs
The next two photos, and one video show a new pole barn that was made into a home.
